North Carolina Marijuana Grow Rooms
Growing marijuana in North Carolina is a dangerous endeavor. In all likelihood those who set up full scale grow operations with cloning plants, multiple hydroponic systems, metal halide grow rooms, and high pressure sodium budding rooms understand that they are taking a serious gamble and risk being criminally charged with crimes such as felony possession of marijuana, manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a dwelling, possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana (PWISD), trafficking marijuana and other misdemeanor and felony criminal charges. At Everett Law Firm, P. A. we have extensive experience in helping those charged with both felony and misdemeanor marijuana charges.
In addition to representing individuals engaged in commercial grow operations, Everett Law Firm, P. A. has also represented numerous individuals who were not engaged in "commercial" grow operation, but have found themselves in deep trouble having been charged with various felony marijuana charges for just having a small grow room for personal use, In nearly every instance, if caught with a marijuana grow room, you will be charged with felony possession of marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling, and felony manufacturing marijuana. In fact, even a couple of small plants that does not result in sufficient weight to reach felony possession of marijuana can still result in the felony charges of manufacturing marijuana and maintaining a dwelling. Despite North Carolina's role as an agricultural state, the marijuana laws in North Carolina are extremely draconian for even small time marijuana growers. Also, be aware, that the police or other law enforcement officers will use the weight of the entire plant (frequently including dirt) when calculating the weight of the marijuana found in a grow room.
Before you decide to germinate that marijuana seed and try to grow a few plants (even for personal use), consider the repercussions. Particularly since possession of up to 1.5 ounces is only a misdemeanor charge in North Carolina.
